A super inexpensive and easy product to make is scouring powder. Unlike the store bought ones that have harsh chemicals in them, this recipe is simple to make and has 3 ingredients you may already have around your house! It works wonders!! Enjoy!
Homemade Scouring Powder
-2cups baking soda
-1cup salt
-1cup borax
Mix all the ingredients together until blended well. If you want it in a container that is easy to just shake a little out at a time, poke holes in the top of a mason jar lid and viola! a shaker container.
Use this on any type of mess that needs a good scrubbing. If it is a really big mess, get the surface wet with vinegar prior to shaking some scouring powder on. Give this about 5 minutes to set. Then scrub the mess away. Just remember that if you decide to use vinegar, the vinegar and baking soda will fizz and foam when combined. You don't want to be creating any more messes to clean up!
