Banana Chips

Banana chips are super easy to make and are a wonderful snack to have on hand!

Simply slice bananas in 1/4'' slices. Try to be as consistent as you can, otherwise some may be done while others are still soft in the middle.

Lay the slices of banana out on the trays. I like to leave plenty of room between the slices for the air to circulate better. It typically takes 3 large bananas per tray.

Dehydrate for approx 12 hours. I like to check the consistency of them starting about hour 10. Just pull 1 slice off per tray and let them cool before tasting. Feel free to pull them off at that point if you like the consistency of them and like them a little softer. Dehydrating them longer will make for more of a crispy texture.

Once they are done. Let them cool on the racks before placing in a container or bag. Then, place in an air tight container or ziploc bag to keep fresh. These will keep for about 2 weeks, if you can make them last that long. Banana chips never last more than a few days in our house.
