Welcome to The Homesteaded Mom. I created this blog to share my successes and failures in my adventures in motherhood, gardening, raising chickens, and making homemade products that are more natural and less chemical-filled. I hope you enjoy this blog and will follow me on my adventures!

Updated: Nursing Cover
After making my nursing cover and using it, I was having trouble keeping the boning part "open" while nursing. I discovered that I needed to place the strap that goes around the neck at the very end of the boning. I un-stitched the strap and sewed it to the ends of the boning. I stitched above and below the boning to help keep it in place and more "stable". It works great now! I can easily position the cover and the opening and it stays open when feeding.
